About Catherine
Like so many women, Catherine always knew that her dreams could never fit inside a box. In 2016, with nothing but a vision, a meagre Wordpress blog and a walk-in closet full of courage, Catherine launched her first business Decoralist in her early 20s.
Fast forward 10 years, she now works with some of the best global brands in the design world and scaled her “creative side hustle” into a multiple 6-figure business. With nearly a decade of e-commerce experience, much of which was self-taught through sheer grit and perseverance, Catherine is known for her humble attitude towards business, generous approach to mentoring others and “can do” attitude.
As a multi-faceted entrepreneur with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the digital commerce space, Catherine loves to educate, guide and inspire others to create their own digital businesses with her 1:1 advisory, digital resources and flagship program Design Dropship Academy.
Seasoning her serious, no-BS approach with bubbly, Canadian humour and care free attitude, Catherine believes that everyone has it within themselves to create their own life by design. Expect to not only have fun and laugh, but to also learn, grow, evolve and achieve more than you thought possible when you work with her.
Now a Mother, Catherine enjoys spending her time with her family, travelling, being outdoors, exercising and mentoring other women in the e-commerce and digital space.
Catherine’s Background
Born in Vancouver, Canada, Catherine grew up skiing after school in the winter and sailing in the summer. She loves being outdoors, being active and exploring. At 11 years old, she moved to Toronto before embarking on a journey to England at 13 where she boarded at Badminton School in Bristol and then Stowe Schools in Buckinghamshire. During her time at Stowe School, Catherine fell in love with History of Art, architecture and design—and decided to pursue this passion at Christie’s Education (MA History of Art) and Sotheby’s Institute (MA Art Business). During her studies, Catherine worked in St James’s at David Gill Gallery and for a well-known British interior designer in Chelsea where she acquired ample experience before venturing into the business world herself in her early 20s.
