Each client and project is unique, but the questions I focus on remain the same: How do you interact and live on a daily basis? How do you wish to feel when you walk through your front door? We will discuss your lifestyle, what colours speak to you and memorable moments to ensure the proposal is tailored specifically to you. Whether I am helping you with decorating a room, renovating your current space, or managing a new build, I exercise the same passion and attention to detail in everything I do.
The initial consultation consists of one – or if necessary, more – meetings to evaluate your wants and needs, as well as to get a feel for the property and your family.
Based on the consultation, I will design some initial concepts that incorporate materials, finishes and furnishings. Depending on the consultation, a few mood boards may be presented to see which styles you respond to most. Once we discover your preferences, these will be developed further for you to approve.
The Specification is a detailed quote which follows the Concept Design, outlining all costs, logistics, preliminary floor plans, any 3D renders (on request), furniture layouts and a detailed presentation with physical samples to help illustrate the Design.
It is of the utmost importance that clients feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the design process which is why costs are clear from the outset and are tailored to fit the budget set by the you. Catherine always works within the budget set by you and fees vary according to the room size and scope of the works.
We will then work with your calendar to develop a comprehensive schedule and start to arrange logistics with suppliers, providing full project management and regular updates.
The Interior Designer Fee covers the sourcing of furniture, fixtures and fittings, fabrics, wall-coverings, floor finishes and all provision of relevant samples for the client to review. This also covers floor plans and furniture layouts. Photorealistic CGIs are quoted separately, as requested.
